Defect tracking is the tracking of defects from submission, to solution, to implementation of resolvement of those bugs. DvdCrate uses a separate online defect tracking software package to "squash" defects (or "bugs") efficiently. The defect tracking software will not only let you see where a "bug" is in development, but new features and enhancements as well.

A Change Log is a listing of defects that have been completed for a given release. The changes from the original release to the next release. Its intention is to show what defects (be those defects bugs, enhancements or changes) have been resolved and will be included in the release following the current one. In another way, a list of changes applied to the last release.

A Road map is a listing of defects (again that can be bugs, changes, enhancements, design changes, etc.) that are planned for future releases. It is a glimpse of the feature set to come. It is these Road map tasks that member input is welcome and strongly encouraged, as the suggestions from the members plan the future of DvdCrate.
