I had my insurance company aware of the site, so that in event of a disaster an itemized record of my collection's contents and total worth would be recorded somewhere. If DVDCrate is being considered as a potential heir to the the throne left vacant by DVDSpot, then this service might be considered vital.
From a strictly competitive viewpoint, it had also been fun to see a listing of the top twenty largest collections and their members. just to see how one's own collection compared.
I look forward to seeing the new site when it becomes active.
Both of these are already in the DB and just need to pages written. In other words its in the feature set already.
I also liked this feature from DVDSpot so I am somewhat using some of there ideas. Not sure if I need to worry about copyright issues with copying DVDSpot too much, as it appears the site is totally defunct.
Finished up the member enrollment, editing and password reset today. Onto the DVD view and list pages.
Thanks for the input,
